RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department for the Somerset campus. This part-time Evening shift offers hands-on nursing care, collaborative teamwork, and a focus on patient safety.

The role requires an active New Jersey RN license, BLS, ACLS, and 1 year of acute care experience. An Associate degree is required, while a BSN is strongly preferred. EMR experience with EPIC is expected. Situated at RWJ Somerset, it’s a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred (1 year).
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe medications and deliver hands-on nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate guidance.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
