Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Jersey City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department to join evening shifts. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to coordinate care.

This role requires NJ RN license, BLS certification, and EMR proficiency; BSN is preferred. You’ll work 12p-12a with every other weekend and rotating holidays, in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and growth.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Emergency/ED experience and EMR proficiency (EPIC) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes early.
• Administer safe medications and provide hands-on nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate information.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• participate in interdisciplinary rounds and strive for smooth transitions.
