Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a night shift. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotations, and a competitive hourly pay range.

The RN will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds. NJ RN license, BLS, and ER/acute care experience required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
BLS certification required.
At least 1 year of ER or acute care RN experience.
BSN preferred or must be completed within 5 years of hire.
EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and recognize clinical changes; intervene and advocate for patients.
Administer medications and provide hands-on care.
Collaborate with physicians and providers for coordinated care decisions.
Educate patients and families to ensure informed care decisions.
Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds to improve care transitions.
Participate in a collaborative team culture supporting patient outcomes.
Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and organizational resources.
