Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse on the Evening Shift (3:00pm–3:00am), full time, 36 hours per week. Join a Level I Trauma Center with a high-volume ED and a multidisciplinary team focused on excellence in patient care.

The RN will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and support staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days.
• Minimum 1 year ER RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic connections.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower better healthcare choices.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly with the care team.
• Ensure safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
