Job summary

Emerus is seeking a registered nurse to provide the core nursing care in the Emergency Room of a small-format hospital in Oklahoma City. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care with strong documentation and privacy practices.

We require 2+ years ER experience, active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC preferred. This PRN role features day shifts with night/weekend differentials and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or related full-time experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Observe and record vital signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Propose revisions to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow physician orders in delivery of care.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policies.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Assemble equipment for procedures and assist others as needed.
