Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for the North Valleys ED. The position is part-time at 24 hours per week, with a $7,500 sign-on for experienced ED RNs.

The ED operates 24/7, triages diverse cases, and offers advanced imaging and lab services to support rapid patient care. The role requires an NV RN license, 2–3 years in emergency or critical care settings, and active BLS; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License is required.
• 2–3 years of Emergency Department experience preferred or 2–3 years of Critical Care experience.
• Extensive EMS background experience is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire.
• PALS Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and evaluate outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Utilize triage to ensure timely and appropriate care and classify patients by urgency.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and treatment plans.
