Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's North Valleys ER is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time (24 hours/week) position with full benefits. The ER is open 24/7 and treats patients from pediatrics to seniors, with fast-track rooms and access to imaging and lab services.

A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. Respond to changes in patient status, collaborate with ED physicians, and provide care across clinical specialties in a high-volume

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR.
• Two to three years critical Care Exp OR.
• Extensive EMS background experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department and coordinates care with other disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across all ages and re-assesses per policy.
• Uses triage processes to prioritize timely and appropriate care.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results; communicates status changes to ED physicians.
