AllianceHealth Durant • Madill seeks an ER Registrar to manage patient intake and registration in the Emergency Department. You will verify personal, insurance, and medical information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while delivering excellent customer service.

This PRN role covers Saturday night 12-hour shifts, supporting efficient department operations through accurate documentation, insurance verification, and cross-team communication.

Competenze

• Post-secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.

Mansioni

• Greet patients and families professionally and compassionately.
• Register patients for emergency services and collect required information.
• Verify patient identity and insurance details; update records as needed.
• Obtain signatures on consent forms and explain each consent.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for billing.
• Collect patient co-pays or deductibles when applicable and explain financial obligations.
• Assist patients with understanding insurance requirements and questions.
• Document any patient unable to sign consent, or reason for family member sign-off.
• Identify correct insurance plan codes for payment.
• Assemble paperwork for quick retrieval and processing of visits.
• Place patient armbands for identification.
• Notify department or physicians of patient arrival; follow up as needed.
• Maintain communication during emergency codes and alert facility as needed.
• Perform other duties and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
