Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Sun City, Arizona. The role provides professional nursing care in a fast-paced ED setting, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams and supervising staff as needed.

This position requires a nursing degree and Arizona RN licensure. ACLS/PALS may be required depending on department; advanced fetal monitoring training or obtaining it within six months is specified for L&D focus.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• L&D: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Deliver bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
• Act as supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and using independent judgment.
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
• Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines.
• May be asked to be in charge for a shift.
• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational and discharge planning needs.
• Determine nursing diagnoses based on assessment and data analysis.
• Set practical patient population-specific outcome goals.
• Involve patient and family input to guide goal achievement.
• Implement nursing and medical orders appropriate to patient status.
