Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Sun City West, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. You will provide direct bedside nursing, coordinate care with multispecialty teams, and supervise support staff as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an AZ RN license, CPR, ACLS; PALS or ENPC may be required; ED/ICU or L&D experience is preferred. This is a staff, ongoing position in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• L&D: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
• Two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
• CPR and ACLS as applicable by Facility/by Department.
• ER/ICU/Endoscopy/Tele/Cath Lab/L&D: ACLS required upon orientation completion.
• ER: PALS or ENPC required or must obtain within ninety days.
• Post-partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP required upon orientation completion.
• Bariatrics: Certification or specialized training in bariatrics.
• Wound Care: Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care and/or Ostomy Care.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned ED unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Directs patient care and supervises other healthcare staff.
• Assesses patient needs at admission and ongoing.
• Implements orders and ensures status matches patient condition.
• May be asked to be in charge for a shift.
