Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to implement evidence-based nursing models and advocate for patients and families.

You will assess pain, perform procedures and treatments, and educate patients on their condition, medications, and follow-up steps, ensuring timely documentation and proactive service.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Texas.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS or equivalent pediatric life support within 30 days.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• 1 year of ER nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and adjust care for effective pain control.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record promptly.
• Respond to patient requests promptly to deliver exceptional care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
• Provide guidance on follow-up care, lifestyle changes, and self-management.
