Banner Nutex Health in Fort Smith, AR seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department to coordinate and deliver patient care for all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. The RN will ensure compliance with nursing standards and participate in quality initiatives.

The role requires 3 years of ER experience, active RN licensure, and current BCLS/CPR with ACLS/PALS or ENPC and TNCC preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is essential for effective communication.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Emergency Room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for all ages in a safe, efficient manner.
• Perform head-to-toe and psych-social assessments and reassess per policy.
• Prioritize needs based on assessment findings.
• Assign accurate triage category levels to ensure timely care.
• Supervise ER Techs, Radiology/CT Techs and other ED staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of medications and administer safely using the five rights.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
