Job summary

Nutex Health's Fort Smith ER is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team as a part-time/PRN staff member. The RN will assess, triage, and provide emergency care to patients across all ages, while supervising support staff and collaborating with physicians to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires ER experience, an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure, and CPR/ACLS/PALS or ENPC.

Qualifications

• Two years emergency department experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with thorough head-to-toe evaluations and determine urgency.
• Triage patients to prioritize care based on acuity.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following established protocols.
• Administer medications accurately following the five rights of medication administration.
• Supervise ERTs and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate with patients and families about procedures and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain infection control and a safe patient environment.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
