Backus Hospital in Plainfield, CT is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will apply evidence-based practices to develop and implement a plan of care for patients across ages, ensuring safety and compassionate care.

This role requires a BSN preferred and at least 1 year of critical care experience, BLS; ability to obtain ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI within 90 days, and CT RN license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with RN licensure in CT; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required; ability to obtain ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain/maintain moderate sedation within 9 months of hire.
• Current unrestricted CT RN license in good standing.
• EMR familiarity; CPR/AHA guidelines knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered nursing care under supervision and guidance.
• Develop and implement care plans using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Monitor and document patient status, respond to changes promptly.
