Job summary

Medical City Decatur is hiring an experienced RN for the Emergency Room to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate care with physicians and the care team, document accurately, educate patients and families, and advocate for patients throughout the treatment process.

This role requires ER experience and active RN license in Texas, with certifications such as ACLS/BCLS/PALS and trauma coursework.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications must be completed within specified timelines.
• RN license required to practice in Texas.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course or equivalent must be completed within 18 months.
• Experience in emergency care environments preferred.
• Compliance with state nursing standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER.
• Document care in the medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Advocate for patients and collaborate with the care team.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
