Medical City Denton is seeking an ER Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced emergency department. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, utilizing established nursing models to assess, perform, teach, and manage patient needs while supporting compassionate outcomes.

Requirements include 1 year of ER or ICU RN experience, Texas RN license (or compact), BLS, ACLS/PALS within 90 days, and TNCC/ENPC within 18 months;

Formación

• 1 year of ER RN experience required or ICU RN experience required.
• Texas State RN license or compact license required. BSN preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• TNCC and ENPC required within 18 months of hire or transfer; a advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Assess pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to provide exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures; translate medical terminology for understanding.
• Educate on follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and self-management.
