Job summary

Baptist Health New Albany, IN is seeking an ER Regional Float Team RN for full-time mid-shift to provide high-quality emergency care across patient populations.

The role requires Kentucky RN license, BCLS, ACLS & PALS, and ER experience; BSN or nursing certification preferred and several training prerequisites; compliance with policies.

You will assess status, develop and implement plans, evaluate outcomes, communicate care information, and participate in staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN License required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS & PALS required.
• 2 years ER experience required.
• BSN or Nursing Certification required except as noted.
• Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered and exempt from obtaining a BSN or Certification.
• New Graduate Nurses must obtain a BSN within 1 year of hire/transfer and complete the degree within 5 years of hire/transfer.
• RN’s with less than 5 years of experience as a nurse must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire.
• RN’s with 5 years of experience or greater as a nurse must complete one of the following: (a) BSN within 1 year or (b) Nursing Certification within one year of hire or as soon as eligible
• TNCC preferred
• NIHSS Required

ER Regional Float Team RN - Full-Time Mid-Shift

Job Summary:

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (infancy to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care. He/she is responsible for the co-ordination of direct and indirect care within the parameters of the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of Baptist Health emergency departments. Responsibilities will commensurate with the education preparation and demonstrated competencies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
