Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital seeks an Emergency Room Technician to support patient care and daily living activities in a fast-paced ER. You will document patient information, assist licensed staff, and perform clerical duties as needed to ensure efficient department operations.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of emergency experience, Texas EMT certification or similar, and BLS/CPI qualifications, with strong communication and teamwork skills to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in an emergency setting or EMT Basic/Intermediate certification (Texas).
• BLS Basic Life Support or Instructor, CPI certification within 3 months.
• Preferred CPT – Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ACA).

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Records data per policy and reports observations to licensed staff.
• Assists with clerical tasks such as answering phones and transcribing orders.
• Adapts to multiple priorities and maintains accuracy under heavy workload.
