Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is hiring a Nursing Support Associate to provide routine patient care under RN supervision at our Lowell, MA campus. The role emphasizes ADLs, room prep, and safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are 36 per week, 7am–7pm, with every other weekend and holiday. The position offers competitive pay, on-campus parking, and a path to career growth within Tufts Medicine family.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified patient care assistant or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a nurse, performs all aspects of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care.
• Prepares patient rooms for admission and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Assists with meals and feeding as necessary.
• Operates basic equipment such as glucometers and lift devices.
• Collects, records and reports accurate patient data promptly.
• Performs the duties of a patient sitter and maintains continuous observation as needed.
• Provides clerical support and greets visitors professionally.
• Works as a team member to support patient care.
