Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is hiring for a Nursing Support role in Lowell, MA. You will provide professional and basic nursing care under the supervision of a nurse, assisting with ADLs, patient transport, and daily routines in a collaborative care setting.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and preferably 1 year of healthcare experience. The role involves patient observation, safety duties, and routine documentation within a Magnet-recognized system.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified patient care, clinical associate, certified nursing assistant or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Under nurse direction, perform activities of daily living and patient care.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
• Prioritize patient care per nursing direction and discharge plan.
• Transport patients to procedures and discharge as directed.
• Operate equipment safely, including glucometer.
• Record and report accurate patient data in a timely manner.
• Provide patient sitter services as needed.
• Greet visitors and answer phones professionally.
• Perform clerical duties as needed.
