Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician in New Jersey. The role involves delivering patient care across age groups, collaborating with nurses and the care team, and supporting admissions, assessments, and procedures.

You will help implement the care plan from admission to discharge and participate in improvement activities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a CNA/MA/PCT program or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of: CNA, Medical Assistant, PCT program or equivalent nursing program; Apprenticeship options may apply.
• Experience or training in phlebotomy, EKG, and vital signs is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care based on age-appropriate criteria and safety measures.
• Communicate with patients and health care team on patient status and care delivered.
• Assist with admissions, assessments, and procedures to support care plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe transitions from admission to discharge.
• Support unit PI activities and ensure equipment is ready and maintained.
