RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Patient Care Associate for the Emergency Department at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. You will provide routine and advanced patient care under nursing supervision, assist with hygiene, vitals, and wound care, and help prepare supplies for procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and phlebotomy certification within six months. Night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, full-time with orientation and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
BLS Certification through American Heart Association only.
Phlebotomy certified within 6 months of employment.
Completion of related technical education course.
On-the-job training or completion of Fundamentals in Nursing course.
Ability to perform all competencies.

Responsibilities

Participate in patient care interventions and personal care procedures for patients.
Perform approved dressings and wound care.
Participate in nutritional activities.
Assist with personal hygiene.
Assist with ambulation.
Assist with bowel and bladder elimination.
Provide additional care to meet personal needs and comfort of patients.
Prepare and set up medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including Vital signs and equipment placement.
