GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Patient Access professional to obtain demographics, verify insurance, and discuss payment options in a fast-paced environment. This on-site role requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask across phones and computer systems.

The position offers Saturday shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM with a part-time, non-exempt schedule. Training will focus on EMTALA/CMS guidelines and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience (ED or medical office preferred).
• Able to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient with keyboard and multi-line phones while multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Obtains demographics per EMTALA and CMS guidelines.
• Obtains insurance eligibility; identifies and collects ER co-pays.
• Communicates with patients about payment options per policy.
• Offers service charge information under transparency rules.
• Follows payer guidelines and assists with scheduling and order processing.
• Completes admission notifications to insurance carriers as required.
• May assist with eligibility checks and prior authorizations.
• Aims for 85% accuracy in 90 days and 98% after 6 months.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
