Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a full-time Emergency Department team member. Night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week, with benefits eligibility.

The role involves assisting clinicians, patient transport, and patient care under supervision, including medication preparation and emergency response. Required credentials include EMT/Paramedic license, BLS/ACLS/PALS within 6 months, ENPC or equivalent allowed in place of PALS, and strong EHR skills.

Qualifications

• EMT/Paramedic license active in the practicing state.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained within 6 months unless exempted.
• ENPC or equivalent may substitute for PALS.
• Strong computer skills and EHR proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Document and communicate patient observations to licensed clinicians.
• Under supervision, prepare and administer medications and assist with procedures.
• Assist in emergencies and notify RN/physician of changes in patient condition.
• Support teaching and document learning in the medical record.
• Process daily charges through the EHR and coordinate communications across teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; monitor and troubleshoot equipment.
• Move and transport patients using proper technique and equipment.
