Novant Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Paramedic to join our ED transport team. You will provide high-quality patient care as part of an RN and physician-led team, building trust with patients and families during the health journey.

Requirements include Paramedic certification or degree, two years in ED/CCT (three for event medicine), a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift equipment and perform routine treatments such as start IVs and CPR.

Qualifications

• Requires Paramedic Certification or Degree.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years ED/CCT experience; three years for Event Medicine.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments.
• Current driver’s license for Critical Care Transport departments.

Responsabilités

• Establish authentic, patient-centered relationships with patients and their support systems.
• Collaborate with RN and physician-led team to provide care.
• Utilize best evidence, protocols, and compassion to assist patient care.
• Administer medications and perform routine care such as IV starts and dressing changes.
• Transport patients via wheelchair, hospital bed, or stretcher; lift and move equipment.
• Respond to critical situations, including performing CPR.
