Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic to support the Emergency Department. You will administer medications under licensed supervision, assist in emergencies, and coordinate communications with physicians and staff.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS with within 6 months; typically 1 year paramedic experience; strong teamwork and clinical skills are essential for patient care across age groups.

Qualifications

Completion of Emergency Medical Services program.
Typically requires 1 year of paramedic experience.
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and effective communication.

Responsibilities

Documents patient information and communicates observations to licensed clinician.
Under supervision, assists with medication administration and procedures.
Assists in emergencies under licensed clinician direction.
Notifies RN/physician of changes in patient condition.
Supports patient/family teaching and documents in EHR.
Facilitates communications among care teams (phone, paging, EMS).
Maintains clean, safe work environment and coordinates equipment maintenance.
Performs patient positioning and transport with proper lifting techniques.
