Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a compassionate Emergency Services Paramedic to support patients across populations. You will join a team that values family-like collaboration and patient-centered care, contributing to clinical support in a busy ED environment.

The role requires Paramedic certification in Virginia, current BLS/PALS/CPI/ACLS within 90 days, and prior ER experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Paramedic training course.
• Virginia Division of EMS EMT-Paramedic certification required; BLS, PALS, CPI, ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Previous ER or comparable experience required.
• 3 years field experience as an EMT-Paramedic preferred.
• Maintain a mature, professional manner and sound judgment in interactions with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients for arrhythmias, document EKG strips, and report findings to the assigned nurse.
• Measure and record patient input and output.
• Stock and check ED supplies and equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
• Inform patients of their treatment plan as appropriate.
