Job summary

At StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, we seek a compassionate paramedic to support patients in a 24/7 emergency department. You will monitor patients, document EKGs, manage supplies, and contribute to CQI projects. A Virginia EMT-Paramedic certification is required with BLS/PALS/CPI/ACLS within 90 days, and prior ER experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Paramedic training course.
• Virginia EMT-Paramedic certification required; BLS, PALS, CPI, ACLS within 90 days.
• 3 years field experience as EMT-Paramedic preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients for arrhythmias, document EKG strips, and report findings to licensed nurse assigned to patient.
• Measure and record patient’s input and output.
• Stock/check ED supplies and equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
• Inform patients of their treatment plan as appropriate.
