Job summary

At StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, we seek a compassionate paramedic to support patients in a 24/7 emergency department. You will monitor patients, document EKGs, manage supplies, and contribute to CQI projects. A Virginia EMT-Paramedic certification is required with BLS/PALS/CPI/ACLS within 90 days, and prior ER experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock/check ED supplies and equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
• Inform patients of their treatment plan as appropriate.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a compassionate and ambitious paramedic to provide clinical support to patients of all populations. Our team is amazing, we consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

• You will monitor patients for arrhythmias, document EKG strips, and report findings to licensed nurse assigned to patient.
• You will measure and record patient’s input and output.
• You will stock/check ED supplies and equipment.
• You will participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
• You will, as appropriate, keep patients informed of their treatment plan.

Requirements:

• Education: Successful completion of a Paramedic training course.
• Certification: Must have and maintain a Virginia Division of EMS EMT-Paramedic certification. BLS, PALS, CPI, and ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: Previous ER or comparable experience required. 3 years field experience as a certified EMT-Paramedic preferred. Ability to maintain a mature, professional manner and demonstrate sound judgment when interacting with patients, physicians, hospital personnel and the public.
