Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and current.
• PALS and/or ENPC required within 30 days of hire and current.
• Minimum 1 year as staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, ED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with 1 year in supervisory/leadership role preferred.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire and CEN within 2 years of hire, preferred.
• Facility training: CCRN preferred for ICU; ED base station qualifications within 12 months of hire, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational oversight for the Emergency Department.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, workflow, and department operations.
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support orientation, training, and staff development.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
• Respond to emergency situations and support critical patient care needs.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
