Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN provides direct patient care in Telemetry, communicates changes in patient status to physicians, and guides patient and family education while upholding professional nursing standards.

Shifts include 3×12 hours, with full-time, part-time and per diem options. Pay ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care; ER setting preferred.
• CEN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Be knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of abuse.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
