Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Milford, MA is seeking a skilled RN leader for the Emergency Department. This non-exempt, full-time position supports the 3:00 pm–11:30 pm shift, a 40-hour workweek, and focuses on staff leadership, patient care coordination, and ongoing quality improvement.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, current MA RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and a minimum of 3 years in the specialty; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current RN License in Massachusetts.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in current specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to staff, including scheduling, staffing, and patient care assignments.
• Serve as a clinical expert and resource; assist with orientation and staff development.
• Promote quality patient care and staff satisfaction through effective communication and resource management.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care; supervise nursing staff and inform leadership of issues.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Foster a professional environment that encourages open communication and continuous learning.
