Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department in Milford. You will apply the nursing process from admission to discharge, assess patients, and develop and coordinate a plan of care including discharge planning.

Responsibilities include directing nursing care, supervising staff as needed, and delegating tasks within competency. Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required in select areas.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration required.
• BLS through AHA or ARC required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS through AHA required in select areas within 6 months.
• PALS through AHA required in select areas within 6 months.
• NRP Advanced Provider through AAP required in select areas within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Delegates to others per job description and competency.
