Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Support/Technician for the Emergency Department in Illinois. The role includes phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, and EHR documentation.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure timely patient care while maintaining safety and a calm, efficient department environment. The position is full-time, nights (1900-0730), benefits eligible, with a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour and a 36-hour work

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required with 1 year of relevant experience typical.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Electronic Health Records.
• Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred or required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and registered nurses with patient care tasks.
• Perform phlebotomy, transport patients, and monitor patients on monitors.
• Document procedures and observations in the EHR and communicate needs to staff.
• Support communications across departments and maintain safety standards.
