Job summary

Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department. You will follow established policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure safe, effective care for patients in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires RN licensure in Kentucky, BLS within 45 days, ACLS within 12 months, and PALS within 12 months. Per Diem/PRN hours support patient care coverage and collaboration with the emergency team.

Qualifications

• RN license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of employment.
• PALS certification required within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per hospital policies and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary team to ensure well-coordinated outcomes.
• Assess discharge planning needs with patient and family and coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families based on age, culture, and learning needs.
