Owensboro Health Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Registered Nurse to collaborate with a physician in diagnosing and treating acute or chronic conditions. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, documentation, and coordination of care for diverse populations in Owensboro, KY.

Requires a Master's in Nursing and state licensure with APRN credentials. The position is full-time with weekend requirements and as-needed weekend coverage in the Emergency Providers Owensboro department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
• RN licensure in Kentucky required upon hire.
• APRN licensure in Kentucky required upon hire.
• National certification from NPCB, AACCN, NCCOGN, PNCB or ANCC required upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
• Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral.
• Provides counseling and education of patients and families concerning preventative health and treatment options.
• Documents assessment and patient care plan accurately.
• Coordinates registration functions including demographic, insurance and co-pay information when needed.
