Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for ER PRN opportunities. The RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and care teams.

You will advocate for patients, teach about conditions and treatment plans, and contribute to excellent clinical outcomes. Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree and RN licensure, with ACLS, BCLS, and crisis intervention certifications obtained within required timeframes.

Qualifications

• ER nursing experience required.
• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date.
• PALS within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and support effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and monitor patient care as ordered; document in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, and medications.
• Instruct on follow-up care, diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.
