Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER as a PRN opportunity. The RN coordinates and delivers care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models and standards of practice.

Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care, promptly addressing patient needs, and educating patients and families about conditions and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the practicing state(s) and/or holds an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and document care in the medical record.
• Deliver exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Teach lifestyle changes and self-management for disease prevention and wellness.
