Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This per diem role covers 7pm–7:30am shifts with weekend coverage. The position requires an Associate’s degree or BSN, IL nursing license, and CPR certification.

Per diems participate in quality initiatives and ongoing professional development. Starting pay ranges from $36.00 to $55.80 hourly, with a planned minimum increase to $37.25 base hourly starting October 2026.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data from patient and family.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and colleagues in person, by phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
