Job summary

Universal Health Services in Reno, NV seeks an ER Registered Nurse for Northwest McCarran to provide professional nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, per diem with a flexible schedule.

You will coordinate care with ED physicians and other disciplines, perform head-to-toe assessments across ages, and help triage to ensure timely, high-quality patient care. Requires NV RN license and 2–3 years ED/CCU experience; BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Active NV RN license
• 2–3 years ED experience preferred
• 2–3 years critical care experience preferred
• EMS background is a plus
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ED, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments on pediatric to geriatric patients and conducts reassessments as per policy.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assigns triage categories.
