Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an ER RN to provide direct patient care from admission through discharge using the nursing process. The role requires current MA nursing licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS as specified, and ER experience is highly preferred.

This non-exempt position offers a 40-hour baseline schedule with a pay range of $37.75–$79.52 per hour and a signing bonus may be available. Duties include care planning, discharge coordination and delegation within the unit.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS required in select areas within 6 months.
• PALS required in select areas within 6 months.
• ER RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks according to job description and competency.
