Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This night-shift, full-time role covers 36 hours over three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends.

You will deliver direct patient care, document in the EHR/EMR, assess conditions, and collaborate with the care team to ensure timely interventions and smooth transitions for patients.

Qualifications

• ALS obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date.
• PALS obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• RN credentialed by Texas Board of Nursing before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER delivering safe, high-quality nursing care.
• Document and update patient plans within EHR/EMR systems.
• Assess patient conditions and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care and discharge planning with the team to ensure safe transitions.
