Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso seeks an Emergency Registered Nurse to impact patient care through collaborative teamwork and involvement in hospital initiatives. You will advocate for patients and model the organization’s values to support excellent outcomes.

You will provide individualized, compassionate care, document interventions, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-management. Experience in emergency nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• TNCC must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date (RN).
• RN licensure or appropriate nursing degree must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management with regular reassessments.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document administration of care in patient records promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and strive to anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.
