The position focuses on throughput optimization, staff scheduling, quality assessment, and celebrating nursing excellence, while aligning with hospital councils and national initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN with e.g. Associate or Bachelor degree or RN Diploma is required.
• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ENPC and PALS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ATCN or TC Nurse Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and quality patient care.
• Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in the unit with the management team.
• Collaborate with managers to foster teamwork and improved patient outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds, etc.).
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, selection, and training of new staff and related actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and supplies management.
