Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare in El Paso, Texas, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Emergency Coordinator to lead patient care coordination during shifts and influence patient outcomes through collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital councils.

You will direct nursing care, manage staffing and inventory, and drive quality initiatives while maintaining a patient-first philosophy and adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensed to practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist admissions and discharges to ensure throughput and quality.
• Assess quality of patient care in coordination with management.
• Collaborate with experts to improve outcomes and service.
• Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounds, hourly rounds).
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, hiring, and staff development.
• Assist with staff scheduling to match patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
