Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with the care team to assess pain, perform necessary procedures, educate patients and families, and advocate for optimal outcomes using established nursing models. Training in ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC will be completed within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC/NCI certifications or progress within required timelines.
• Associate/Bachelor RN degrees required or equivalent.
• ED or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain and comfort; document care accurately.
• Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered; ensure timely charting.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and advocate for patients/families.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up steps.
• Promote self-management through discharge planning and health maintenance.
