Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Savannah, GA. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical staff, following established nursing models to support outcomes and the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible for licensure in Georgia.
• ACLS/BCLS required within specified time frames after employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date.
• PALS within 60 days of start date.
• TNCC within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management with timely reassessments.
• Performs procedures and monitoring as ordered by physicians, documenting care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and proactively resolves issues to ensure patient comfort.
• Teaches patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures with clear explanations.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures, including diet, exercise, and disease prevention, to support self-management.

Education
