Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The role requires 12-hour accountability for organizing, planning, and delivering patient-centered care following the Watson Model of Care.

The RN will collaborate with the Clinical Unit Supervisor and care managers to coordinate discharge planning and ensure regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and patient safety throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Education credentials include an ASN, diploma, or equivalent; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license is required.
• Basic EKG competence and ACLS/PALS knowledge are beneficial and may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
• Utilize the Watson Model of Care.
• Document assessments and plans in the medical record.
• Coordinate with care team and discharge planning.
• Perform hourly rounding and SBAR hand-offs.
