Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a skilled RN for the Emergency Department. The Clinical Staff Nurse will be responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and providing patient-centered care across a defined group of patients with a focus on Watson Model of Care.

The role reports to the Clinical Unit Supervisor and requires 12-hour shifts, comprehensive nursing assessments, and strong collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing; BSN preferred.
• California RN license is required/Current license to practice.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care using the Watson Model of Care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Prioritize and coordinate patient care with timely follow-up and reassessment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition via SBAR during hand-offs.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning with Care Managers.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with regulatory standards.
