Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse to join the team in Milwaukee. The nurse will assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room, ensuring safety and comfort across all ages and conditions.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), active RN licensure, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. English fluency is essential; PA candidates may need Act 33/Act 73 clearances before start.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or comparable setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and oral.
• PA candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed or to be obtained before start.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-specific nursing care.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Observe, record signs and patient status.
• Propose revisions to interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; follow physician orders.
• Collect labs and perform testing per policies and regulations.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Handle admissions, discharges and transfers.
